MILITARY SERVICE: Rick is a USAF veteran, honorably discharged in 1968 as a non-commissioned officer.
MARITAL STATUS: Married to Marie E. (Wilkinson) for 40 years this November. We have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University.
OCCUPATION: Retired after 32 years at Ford Motor Company as an Information Technology Manager.
POLITICAL: Former Republican. I joined the U.S. Taxpayers Party of Michigan and am presently the 1st Vice Chairman. I'm also a member of the Constitution Party National Committee. I am a strict-construction Constitutionalist, believing the major national parties have drawn us away from the Founders' and Framers' original intent, being a constraint on the powers of a limited federal government which they created.
GOAL: As a member of the Wayne State University Board of Governors, I will work to get the History and Law Departments to truly educate the students to function as responsible citizens of our republic, rather than to indoctrinate them as subjects in a socialist democracy.
